Travel and Export

As of August 1, 2024, all dogs entering the U.S. from Canada will be required to meet the following CDC requirements:

– Complete the CDC Dog Import Form (this can be completed on the day of travel)

– Dogs must be at least 6 months of age

– Have an international recognized microchip

– Vaccinated for Rabies (no longer any requirement for proof of rabies vaccination for dogs travelling from low-risk countries, but important to remember that proof of current rabies vaccination is still required for dogs returning to Canada from the US.)
